Millie’s Leaving Assembly and Lunch

Sacrament of First Holy Communion

To begin, a very BIG thank you and congratulations to Ms Thomas for coordinating the Sacrament of First Holy Communion and for preparing the students so well. There are so many things that need to be done to ensure the day runs smoothly, and Ms Thomas did such a good job. It was a lovely celebration for Charli, Riyana and Jack, and their families.

Well done, also, to Jayne and our choir, led by Kate Clayton and supported by Carolyn Mathwin. It was lovely to see the students there in their uniforms singing our Communion song. My thanks to Jayne for coordinating the choir.

Let’s Go on a Bug Hunt

Celebrating World Environment Day 2019

Thanks to the Forest Products Commission Community Support Program on the 17th June, St Bernard’s Catholic Primary School students enjoyed a trip to the Myrtle Benn Flora and Fauna Sanctuary.

With the help of Wayne Zadow and Sue O’Halloran, students hunted for bugs, animal tracks and markings and birds.  They learnt how to use binoculars, identifying different species of birds, and had lots of fun in the great outdoors.

Many thanks to Melissa Shephard, science teacher at St Bernard’s, accompanying teachers and education assistant’s, James the bus driver and Travis from the Kojonup Bus Service for donating the bus for the day.

Student Pick Up at KDHS

When collecting students at KDHS, parents are asked to park near the tennis court and walk to the bus area to collect their children.

The bus area is for buses only and parents are asked to keep this area free in the interest of child safety.

Uniform Shop

The uniform shop will be open Friday 5th July from 8.30 – 9.00 am  before the assembly for all your WINTER uniform requirements.

If you are unable to make it on the day the Uniform Shop is open, please fill out a uniform shop order form and leave it with Admin and the Uniform ladies will collate it for you.  This can then be picked up either on the Friday when uniform shop is open or from Admin.

Term 2 – Monday Morning Canteen Volunteer

We are looking for a lunch order collator for Monday mornings of Term 3! It is not a hard job, only takes 1 hour and it enables our students to get lunch orders, which I’m sure if you ask them, they absolutely LOVE!

Time required is from 8.30-8.45 am Monday mornings until all orders are collated and completed, approximately 1 hour. NO TIME IN THE KDHS CANTEEN IS REQUIRED, nor is pick up of lunches. (Just writing up of orders, money collating, and then delivery of our tucker box to the KDHS canteen)

Please contact Administration on 9831 3500 if you would like to help with Term 3, on a regular basis or 1 off volunteering.
