Art Project

We have some eye opening art projects going on, one stand out piece though is our banner that will be up in Yagan square in Perth City, as usual our fabulous almost resident artist Lisa Hart has been on at the helm of the ship helping and guiding our students to create some of the most amazing art work I’m sure this school will ever see.

Mothers Day

Kindy – Year 2 Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea

On Thursday 9th May, Mums from our Kindy to Year 2 classes had a very relaxed and pampered afternoon for Mother’s Day. We treated our Mums like princesses, providing them with relaxing hand massages complete with nail polish. We painted pictures and made jewellery together.  We decorated some biscuits and were able to read a story with our Mums.

We had such a fun afternoon and all the Mums and Nannas left with some gorgeous gifts. They all looked very relaxed after their pamper afternoon!

Sacrament of Reconciliation

Congratulations to St Bernard’s students Toby, John and Lanz on making their First Reconciliation at St Bernard’s Church on Thursday 23rd May. The boys were surrounded and supported by their families, school friends and St Bernard’s staff as they participated this Sacrament for the first time.  It was a lovely service of healing where the boys were able to reflect on their lives and go to Reconciliation to say sorry to God for the things they’ve done wrong. A big thank you goes out to Fr Jay Johnson, who travelled from Narrogin help us with our service while Fr Francis is recovering from surgery. Thank you also to the staff who have helped to prepare the boys for this sacrament as well as everyone who attended the service.

Commitment Mass

Congratulations to Toby, Riyana, Charlize, Jack H, Marietta who took the next step in their faith journeys through the making the commitment to the Sacramental Program at Sunday mass.

National Simultaneous Storytime

On Wednesday 22nd May, St Bernard’s student took part in National Simultaneous Storytime. This is when students and their teachers all around Australia read the same story at the same time.

This year’s story was Alpacas with Maracas by Matt Crosgrove. Our Librarian Mrs Gardner entertained everyone with her great storytelling and maraca playing.

Afterwards, students made their own alpaca artworks using real alpaca wool.

Student Pick Up at KDHS

When collecting students at KDHS, parents are asked to park near the tennis court and walk to the bus area to collect their children.

The bus area is for buses only and parents are asked to keep this area free in the interest of child safety.
