Classic School Tennis Tournament

On Monday the 18th March six of the year 5/6 students went over to Katanning to play in the Classic School Tennis Tournament. They were Chaaya Jury, Jack Leusciatti, Travis Goodall, Tom Robertson, Elizabeth Mathwin and Sofia Tunui. We played six games against other schools. While playing each school we played singles and doubles. The schools we played against were Braeside Primary School, Gnowangerup Primary School and Broomehill Primary School. Congratulations to Broomehill Primary School who won the day and St Bernard’s did well coming third.

The day was fun, and we all improved our tennis by the end of the day. We would like to say a big thank you to Mrs Rundle for preparing the day for us and to Mrs Jury and Mrs Marinoni for driving us over and helping with our scoring.

Goods and Services Auction

The St Bernard’s P & F would like to thank business’s parents and friends of the school who supported our bi-annual Goods & Services Auction.

The night’s theme was “Wild West” with the room decorated amazingly by the ladies and the costumes worn on the night didn’t fail to impress, best dressed on the night went to Cameron “Two Piggy’s” Cant and Mrs Di Gardener.

In total 117 lots were sold with everything from helicopter rides, artwork from the students and yabbies’ being auctioned off raising an amazing $26,912.00.

The generosity from donors and purchasers was something our whole community can be proud of.

A big thank you to the parents who attended meetings for the last six months to tick off an endless list of jobs, the ladies who presented all the items and complex so nicely, the auctioneers and the MC, the bar staff which were kept busy all night and the creativity of our artistic parents.

Finally, thank you to the Shire of Kojonup for the use of the Sports Complex.
